If you have seen the message in your wordpress dashboard Current Memory Limit:40 MB|We recommend setting memory to at least 128 MB

There are three ways to do this

First Edit Your Config.php file in wordpress root

Open your FTP Account Go to /public_html
You will see wp-config.php
Edit This file and search

Add this to the top, before the line that says,
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

/**
 * @snippet How To Increase WordPress Memory Limit
 * @Tutorial      http://wpadmin.in/tutorials/wordpress/installation/how-to-increase-wordpress-memory-limit/
 * @Author        Wpadmin
 * @Compatible    WordPress All Version
 */

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

/**
 * @snippet How To Increase WordPress Memory Limit

*/

Second You have to edit in your PHP.INI file

If you have access to your PHP.ini file, change the line in PHP.ini
If your line shows 64M try 256M:

/**
 * @snippet How To Increase WordPress Memory Limit
 * @Tutorial      http://wpadmin.in/tutorials/wordpress/installation/how-to-increase-wordpress-memory-limit/
 * @Author        Wpadmin
 * @Compatible    WordPress All Version
 */

memory_limit = 256M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (64MB)

/**

Third You have to Edit In .htaccess file

In your root directory
Add this to

/**
 * @snippet How To Increase WordPress Memory Limit
 * @Tutorial      http://wpadmin.in/tutorials/wordpress/installation/how-to-increase-wordpress-memory-limit/
 * @Author        Wpadmin
 * @Compatible    WordPress All Version
 */

php_value memory_limit 256M

/**
